DF x UN Habitat: Damietta

Around the world, the idea of home is being quietly redefined by those who have had to leave it behind. We believe that our collaborations must support children to express and reflect through joy. The Damietta Workshop is a collaboration with UN Habitat, designed to inspire, include, and empower through art.

This project brought together refugee children from Sudan and Syria, whose stories of their new home Damietta, formed the creative foundation of our  designs.

Guided by Doodle Factory’s design process, and the children’s playful strokes and wild imagination, we worked on re-interrupting Damietta’s visual identity.  Through bold merchandise and a re-imagination of what the city streets could look like, we designed metro passes, lamp post and street banners signage and postage stamps as well.

As part of this partnership’s commitment to impact, 10% of proceeds support tuition fees for students at Man Ahyaha School, helping more children continue learning, imagining, and dreaming.
